CVS Pharmacy is the best! Since my mini vacation at Memorial Hospital, I have been on a medication where I had to split a pill and take half night and morning. Mentioned to my doctor that I did not always get them to split equally so she prescribed the medication at half the strength so I did not need to split it. Went to CVS to pick up my new prescription and it was over $240 where it had been less than $10 with my insurance. The gentleman helping me called over another pharmacist and we discussed what might be the problem. Mentioned to them that I had been splitting the pill and now was not going to need to. They thought perhaps my insurance did not cover the lesser strength. Since my original prescription was still on file, decided I could split a lot of pills for over $220! Thanks so much for all the help from the pharmacy.

Pop A Top Again sponsored a Combat Vets Car and Bike show on Saturday. They had a stage set up for bands, tents to protect visitors and more. Despite the rain, there was a good turnout. Was glad to see at least three local cars in the show. A few of my sunflowers lost their lives to one woman who may have not realized they were loved and cared for or perhaps she thought they were weeds as there are plenty of weeds in my sidewalk but not in my sunflowers. Want to thank many of the people who came out for the show who also stopped by my shop. This is an annual event for Vets helping Vets so look for it next year.

The Old Settlers committee also had events on the Square Saturday. There was a color run, a slip and slide and more water games for the kids and they were serving sandwiches. My compliments to the cooks as the sandwiches were great as always.

Hit the Gerbera daisy jack pot at Walmart. Big hanging baskets were reduced to $5. I planted some of them in the tubs in front of the antique shop.

The PCCC group is planning a movie night for Thursday, July 30, so mark your calendars. The movie will be free. There will also be treats available.
