Knox College is hosting Commencement on Sunday, June 8, at 10 a.m.
This year’s commencement speaker is Illinois Governor JB Pritzker. Governor Pritzker, along with renowned Chicago artist and professor Theaster Gates and Knox College honorary trustee and longtime supporter, Mary Kent Knight, will be awarded honorary degrees.
The ceremony will be available to view on the YouTube page (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QualindjdUM) for those who can not attend but wish to view. We will have audio files for those in need shortly after the ceremony concludes.
The ceremony will be held on South Lawn behind South Main beginning at 10 a.m., rain or shine.
Tentative schedule for the day with approximate times: 10 a.m. -- Commencement begins 10:30 a.m. (approximate time) -- Start of Commencement address by Governor Pritzker.
11 a.m. to 12 noon (approximate times) -- Presentation diplomas
