Althoff Farms
Heather Althoff, of Augusta, is the second member of her family these days to join Macomb Summer Farmers Market.
Her mother, Jeanne Higgins from Plymouth, sells beautiful handmade kitchen towels. Heather has brought her meat business to the market, and when she is splitting her business with the Quincy Farmers Market, her mom and other helpers man the Althoff Farms/Towels by Jeanne booth.
Althoff Farms motto is “From our farms to your plate.” The Althoffs specialize in non-GMO grainfed beef.
Products they sell include hamburger, steaks, roasts, brisket, snack sticks, cheddar beef hotdogs and summer sausage. They no longer, due to time constraints, deal in the production of non-confinement pork, but have sources for that meat as well. Their popular pork brats come in bacon cheddar, Hawaiian, jalapeno swiss, and mushroom swiss. In the future they may get meat lambs. All of Althoff’s meat is processed by a USDA butcher.
Heather also works at DOT Foods so has to manage her time efficiently. Her other hobbies, if there is time, include traveling and gardening.
Heather sat up once at the Macomb Winter Farmers Market and plans to be there again this indoor season.
Heather loves the farmers market customers and also the camaraderie of the vendors. She is willing to take custom orders and can be reached any time at 217-3922825, [email protected], by text at 309-333-7723 and Facebook Messenger under Althoff Farms. If Heather doesn’t immediately reply, she will get back as soon as she can.
