Letter to Editor:
A big thank you to everyone that helped make American Legion Auxiliary Unit #6 Poppy Days a great success. Thank you to Mayor Inman for signing the “Poppy Day Proclamation”, and to HyVee Food store, Farm King, Haymakers and the City of Colchester for allowing us to distribute poppies.
Thanks also to the following individuals that donated their time so that we can better serve our McDonough County Veterans: Chris Adams, Natalie Adams, Janet Armstrong, Gary Beck, Bonnie Clark, Pam Cole, Scott Fischer, Linda Webster, Lois Bigham, Ketra Wanamaker, Diana Stephens, Jerry Yocum, David Monniger, Carissa Bryant, Lindy Wiemersiage, Kent McClure, Edna Taylor, Michael Franks, David Moffett and Sonja Creekmore, as well as Auxiliary Treasurer Margaret Ellis for being available at the Post #6 home to accept donations.
Without the generosity of the community we would not be able to assist our veterans and their families.
