To the Editor;
This is in response to two recent letters (6/2/26) which were in response to mine of “Thoughts on Democrats” (5/26/26.)
To Mr. Marcott. While I do appreciate his kind words about me, I am in disagreement with most of what follows.
I did not “fall prey so easily to the appeals to fear and selfishness.” I do not “robotically regurgitate every MAGA talking point.” I am not a “juvenile megaphone.” I am not “spoon-fed.” I am not a “parrot” either. What I expressed is not “propaganda.” I promoted no “conspiracy theories.” I “ampliflie[d]” no “caveman instincts of fear and hate,” though I do fear the direction the left is taking / would like to take our country. It may have also been implied that either I or others with my views is / are “demonizing the minority, the homeless, the poor, the OTHER.” That was not to be found in my letter. I demonized no one.
To Ms. Heather: Not sure how I “proved every point” of Michael Thompson’s letter. Help here please as that is a stretch. And, NO- “each and every point in [my] letter” was not a “FOX propaganda, click bait talking point.”
To both writers: I critically and intelligently think for myself. My worldview is informed by my Christian and timeless conservative values. I can see and hear with my own eyes and ears. I don’t follow in lockstep with others. Hence my original letter with bullet points were informed and rational observations. I looked back and there were 23 of them. I looked back at them and I have observed each and every one of them. I would invite you to refute, not rebut any or all of my observations.
