The Blandinsville-Hire District Library 2026 Summer Reading Program will focus on KINDNESS. We will be sharing Kindness 101 clips, a Kindness Booth and building a Kindness Rock Garden with the help of the children plus other activities. The Program will be for 6 Wednesdays in June & July beginning June 10th starting at 10AM. There will be a Story time, a Kindness presentation, crafts/activities and Pizza and juice/water.
We will encourage ACTS OF KINDNESS throughout the summer and beyond! How to bring smiles to those you meet every day friends, family, classmates, neighbors and new people you meet during the day - it is amazing how a smile and a kind word, even a hug can change you and those you meet. Most importantly be kind to yourself!
There are amazing stories out there that need to be heard and shared.
The Quincy Children’s Museum will be at the Library on Monday, June 8th from 2:30 to 4PM with their trailer of activities. Have the kids stop by for a bit of fun and exploration.
This will be an outdoor event in the green space behind the Library. Please join us as the Museum promotes their new facility in Quincy.
