The Macomb Police Department and Macomb Area Crime Stoppers are seeking information on recent graffiti/vandalism incidents around Macomb.
According to MPD Chief Todd Tedrow, while there have been two reports on 'tagging'/graffiti that have been made by citizens, MPD officers have noticed graffiti while on patrol. Members of the community should report anything suspicious to the Macomb Police Department at (309) 8334505. Vandalism has been reported at various public areas within Macomb, including Chandler Park and the Downtown Square area.
In addition, information regarding these crimes may also be reported to Crime Stoppers, (309) 836-3222 or 1-800-222-TIPS. Callers can also leave an online tip at www.macombareacrimestoppers. com. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
'Our community deserves better than random vandalism. We urge anyone who may have seen something or has information about the person or persons responsible to come forward,' Tedrow said. 'Your tips for any crime are critical in helping keep Macomb clean and safe.'
