Police Explorers Camp May 28-29

Current seventh through 12 grade students are invited to join the Police Explorers Camp from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Thursday- Friday, May 28-29 at West Prairie Junior Senior High School. Led by McDonough County Sheriff Deputy and School Resource Office Dave Burnham, the two-day camp will give students hands-on experiences and insight into the world of law enforcement.

Participants will learn about K-9 units, complete with demonstrations; fingerprinting and forensics; traffic stop training; taser deployment (demonstration) and tactical building searches. The camp is open to any seventh through 12th grade student from McDonough County. Space is limited. Register by calling (309) 456-3750.
