A number of Macomb Middle School athletes earned medals at this week’s Illinois Elementary School (IESA) Class 4A State Track and Field Finals at Corwin Clatt Field at the Eastside Centre in East Peoria.
Seventh grader Evelyn Goc brought home a state title in the pole vault with an effort of 2.69-meters (8-feet, 9.75-inches).

Seventh Grade Girls
800-meters - Goc, eighth, 2:25.05 (personal best).
1600 sprint medley relay (200-200-400-800) - Macomb (Scotlyn Terry, Blakely Royer, Makenzie Pilat and Goc), 11th, 4:46.13. In addition, Everleigh Johnson and Kailyn Richards served as alternates.
Shot put - Zenovia Gant, seventh, 8.67-meters (285.50) (personal best).
Pole vault - Royer, 10th, 2.21m (7-3).
Seventh Grade Boys 400 - Daris Gosa, 19th, 1:00.59.
High jump - Justice Peters, eighth, 1.53m (5-0.25).
Eighth Grade Girls High jump - Dehlia Graham, 18th, 1.39m (4-6.75).

Discus - Mason James, third, 43.73m (143-5) and Bradley Wagoner, 12th, 37.58m (123-3).
High jump - Faraz Khan, 11th, 1.68m (5-6) and Keyshaun Sanders, tie for 13th, 1.68m (5-6).
Pole vault - Wagoner, ninth, 2.90m (9-6.25).
