ROBIN’S
Hello Friends – Here we are – May is more than half over and then those glorious summer months step in and hopefully things slow down just a bit for everyone. Take a breath and take in those lazy, hazy summers. I know it’s a time where folks try to take vacations – pack as much as they can into the summer, but you don’t have to spend the money to go out of town – have a staycation! Plan some local day trips and just enjoy what the area has to offer, you really don’t have to go far! And hopefully not spend a lot of money but get to enjoy the time locally. With the gas prices the way they are trending; this may be your best option! You may be surprised what you can find in your own backyard! Our Community is fortunate to have a swimming pool that is open to the public! And the Reid Brewer Splash Pad will be featuring a full season of fun in the sun! Plan a park picnic and afternoon of splashing and cooling off! It’s easy in Bushnell! Our VFW Park shines with ball games to watch, a playground to play on and picnic facilities abound. Let’s crowd our Park and Pool and Splash Pad with the squeals and fun awaiting you!

They are getting close to the finish of Phase One of the Washington Street project. The City, iMEG and Laverdiere Construction have done an outstanding job of coordinating and executing this first phase. Phase two is next. It’s been a project and a mess, but we knew that going in, and I think we have all weathered it pretty good.
“Every day gives you two choices: See problems or possibilities. Complain or be grateful. Live in fear or live in faith. The difference between a heavy heart and a peaceful one is perspective. Gratitude and joy aren’t feelings – they’re decisions. Choose them, and your life changes.” - calltoleap. Stay safe and have fun! Robin Wilt
