The McDonough County Community Quality of Life Advisory Committee (QoL) will recognize the Bicentennial celebration of McDonough County, and is seeking nominations for any individual or group/ organization that promotes, preserves, shares the county’s history and maintains or improves the Quality of Life in McDonough County through their exceptional community volunteer efforts during the 2025-2026 year.
This award is for individuals who have not been a QoL Award recipient in the past 10 years. A list of all previous recipients can be sent upon request, or is available at //tinyurl. com/QoLawardlist Nominators should include their name, address and phone number for verification. Submissions should either be a one-page typed narrative as to why the person deserves this award or or complete the nomination online at tinyurl.com/qualitylifeaward2026. The nominee’s full name, email, home address and phone number must be included. Please note: Family nominations are not accepted. The awards will be presented Tuesday, Sept. 22 at a reception held at Western Illinois University’s Union LaMoine Room from 4:30-6 p.m. The event will begin with a social at 4:30 p.m., followed by the awards presentation at 5 p.m. This special event has a $10 admission.
