SATURDAYS Life Skills Program Blandinsville First Christian Church Life Skills Program for 5th grade through High School students from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon on the third Saturday of each month.
Story Hour and Crafts Saturdays at The Blandinsville-Hire Library at 10 AM.
Snacks will be available. Check out the many new kids and young adult books. Spend some time at the library and take a book home to read!

Bushnell
WEDNESDAYS Story time at the Bushnell library each Wednesday from 2:30-3:30 at the Bushnell Public Library. We will have snacks, story, crafts, and playtime.
FRIDAY, MAY 29 River Bend Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry will be at Fitch Manor, 1500 W. Main St., Bushnell on May 29.
This is a drive-up Food Pantry. Registration will be from 9:3010am and food distribution will be held 10-11:30am. Helpful Hint: Laundry baskets are great for the mobile food pantry.
MONDAY, JUNE 1-JUNE 4 Vacation Bible School
The Bushnell Area Ministerial Association Combined VBS, “Illumination Station”, will be held at Bushnell Stage Park. Kids who have turned 3 through those who have completed 5th grade are invited to join each evening starting with a meal at 5:30pm, with learning, crafts, games and activities from 6 to 8pm. SATURDAY, MAY 23 Remove Nonnative Plants from the Woods
Come and spend a few hours outdoors helping the Friends of Argyle and park staff remove nonnative plants from the woods at Argyle from 1:30-3:30pm. Litter collecting is an option for younger volunteers. Tools and gloves will be provided or bring your own. Meet at the park visitor center for supplies. The North side of town divided by the highway will be picked up on Friday June 5th. The South side of town divided by the highway will be picked up on Saturday June 6th. Bulk pick-up is for residents only, the amount for each residence should not be greater than what could fit in a typical pick-up truck, or something like four bulk items and 20 bags of trash. Please bag all items that can be bagged to help the clean up go swiftly and keep the mess to a minimum.

The Antiques & Collectibles Club of West Central Illinois will meet Wednesday, May 20, 2026 from 7-9 pm in the Macomb City Hall Community Room, 232 East Jackson St (enter the east side of the building). Program: Collection Literature - Gary Neuhardt, our presenter, will discuss the valuable information found in the accompanying written literature with our collectibles. This material is often lost but can provide crucial insights about your collectibles. All meetings are open to the public.
SATURDAY, MAY 30 A One Book One Community Festival Event
Macomb Fire Station Safety Tour for Kids-between 2-3pm, Macomb Firefighters will show kids fire safety practices and tour the fire station with the. Guy Huston will read Wombat Said Come In with the kids and give each child or family their own copy of the book. The story is set in Australia during bush fire season.

Trash must be bagged or boxed unless it is too large. Items that will not be included include: hazardous waste, electronics, tires, batteries, tree limbs, brush or yard trimmings and Freon based appliances. Only one appliance per household (air conditioners, refrigerators, dehumidifiers will not be accepted unless the Freon has been removed and a certificate of removal is attached to the item). Doors must be removed from refrigerators and freezers.
