The Bushnell-Prairie City and West Prairie High School girls track and field teams headed to Farmington Wednesday for Illinois High School Association Class 1A Sectional competition.
In the team standing, B-PC finished ninth with 35 points, while West Prairie was 13th with 10.75 points.
Mercer County captured the team title with 115 points.
B-PC freshman Marryn Ferguson qualified for next week’s state finals in three events.
Ferguson won the pole vault with an effort of 3.18-meters (10-feet, 5.25-inches), along with the 100-meter high hurdles with a time of 15.52 seconds.
She also finished fourth in the 100 with a personal best time of 12.91, earning a state berth in the event based on time.
