ROBIN’S Bushnell Roundup
Hello Friends – I’ve got a lot to unpack this week – but who knows what is going into this column. My computer is on its last leg and that is going to be a problem – but we will face that when it does!

Have you been into Bushnell Market lately? If not, you must make the trip! They have got new coolers everywhere!!
And more and more new products weekly it seems – and let’s talk about the meat deals! This store in our small town is nothing short of amazing. They bring folks from all over in town to buy local. Can’t find what you need – ask, they truly make all efforts to get in what you want. Thanks for investing in Bushnell!
Graduation is next week – hard for those Senior parents I know. But what a pivotal moment in their lives – and we have had front row seats watching them grow into their future. If I had the opportunity to give them one piece of advice, it would be this: Come back home! Go out and do your thing, go to college, start a job, invest in your future – but please, come back home. Come back home and show us what you got – invest back in your hometown! We need you – if not forever, for a while – show us what you know, you are important and vital and we want to know what you learned!!
Have you been out to the VFW Park? Steve Ackers has really put in the time and made some beautiful improvements for the season! With the donation of mulch and plants, he transformed the entrance into a beautiful sight.
Thanks, Steve, for being an important community member who gives back! You are so appreciated!
We’ve lost some good folks lately, and that gets harder every time. When you are touched by someone’s death and don’t know what to do or say – it may be easier to just sit with them and not talk but listen. If you want to talk – talk about the one who has passed – say their name. And don’t just do it now when their death is new – keep doing it. Talk about them, remember them. I know that in my grief journey with my folks, if someone mentions them in conversation – I am immediately happy. Happy that they are still remembered and were loved when they were alive. Talk about them, remember them. It truly makes a difference.
“In moments of darkness, don’t forget your worth. Whatever you’re going through or have been through, does not change the way the good people in your life see and love you and nor should it change the way you see and love yourself.
Don’t forget to be compassionate with yourself and handle yourself with care when your world around you feels heavy.
Be patient with yourself, there is no need to rush when you are healing. Please come home to yourself when you are ready.” – Charlotte Freeman Stay safe - Robin
