MACOMB FARMER’S MARKET Vendor Spotlight
Annemarie’s Enchanting Crafts
Annemarie Litwiller is a Western Illinois University student with a craft business on the side that will put her at the Macomb Summer Farmers Market on Saturday mornings.
Litwiller, a teaching/art studio major, is in her third year at WIU and has already tested the waters for her craft business at the winter market in Macomb.
Thanks to her grandmothers, Annemarie learned to sew at age nine and hasn’t stopped since. Her long range goal is to teach in the pre-k to grade six range, and continue to do her sewing crafts on the side. She hopes to obtain a master’s degree.
Annemarie is a Hannah City native and went to high school at Farmington, graduating in 2023. At WIU she participates in the bowling club which is held at Digger’s College City Bowl, a sport which she enjoys immensely.
The items Litwiller will be selling at the Macomb Summer Farmers Market range from jar openers, comic book cloth protectors, plastic bag holders, tissue pocket size holders, Kindle cloth protectors, mass market novel book covers, magnets, keychains, and buttons. She plans on expanding her line of products in the future.
All About Pieces, at 124 S. Lafayette, is the fabric store of choice for Litwiller’s business. She notes the quality of material and great customer service.
Annemarie’s Enchanting Crafts is a unique business in that their items are very reasonably priced, some items selling for as low as $3.
Litwiller will be set up at the Elmwood Holiday Lane, and at the Morton Pumpkin Festival, in addition to Macomb’s market. Annemarie’s Enchanting Crafts also consigns some items for sale at Spellbound Stories, at 5 East Side Square, Macomb. She is learning the ropes of craft show selling and as she progresses her schedule will increase. She is lucky to have a mother who can chip in and help out when her schedule gets hectic.
Annemarie was always active in 4-H and FFA in school, and credits those activities with her love for animals and crafts.
