The Macomb High School Choir had their final performance of the year last night. Awards and senior recognition were given during the performance.
The Director's Award for Chorus honors two students who have been active in the choir program since their freshman year. These two students have been a part of our extracurricular choirs, studied voice privately and participated in many additional choral events. The Director's Award for Chorus was presented to Addison Bainter and Julia Woell.
The National School Choral award goes to two students who have displayed musical and personal leadership in the ensembles. Not only have these two students been involved in extracurricular choirs all four years, but they have broken school records for their number of years participating in the All-State Music Festival. The recipients of the National School Choral Award are Dahlia Lauer and Darah McFadden.
