The Macomb High boys tennis team wrapped up the home portion of its 2026 schedule Monday afternoon, defeating visiting Fort Madison, Iowa 8-0.
The Bombers improved to 8-3 in dual meet competition.
Singles results were as follows:
No. 1 - Jaydn Glaue, Macomb defeated Rowan Benda, FMHS, 7-5, 6-4.
No. 2 - Owen Kennedy, Macomb defeated Abu Saddiq, FMHS, 6-0, 6-4.
No. 3 - Cooper Smith, Macomb defeated Eivah Broadhurst, FMHS, 6-0, 6-0.
No. 4 - Kevin Wu, Macomb defeated Arian Williams, FMHS, 6-1, 6-0.
No. 5 - Max Daytner, Macomb defeated Broadhurst, FMHS, 8-4.
No. 6 - Luke Wu, Macomb defeated Williams, FMHS, 8-0. Doubles results were as follows: No. 1 - Marc Simmons and Alex Simmons, Macomb defeated Benda and Saddiq, FMHS, 8-1.
No. 2 - Carter Ingledue and Kai Youshimura, Macomb defeated Broadhurst and Williams, FMHS, 8-0.
Monday’s event was the first for the team since Apr. 25 when the Bombers took part in Streaks Invitational at Galesburg.
Macomb’s scheduled meets at Limestone and home against Pekin were cancelled due to weather.
In addition, Tuesday’s meet at Quincy High was called off due to inclement weather.
The Bombers are slated to return to action May 13, heading to Alton to face Alton Marquette.
MHS will then wrap up the regular season May 18 at Galesburg.
