Have a positive impact on local youth by playing a round of golf.
The Youth for Christ (YFC) Golf Outing, set for June 5 at Western Illinois University's Harry Mussatto Golf Course, is a fundraiser to fuel free, welcoming programs for middle school and high school students in western Illinois. According to Todd Rodeffer, YFC executive director, the organization seeks to connect teenagers with caring, adult, Christian mentors who are there for them.
The June golf outing is sponsored by both Collection Professionals and Professional Eyecare Center. Registration is $95 per player, or $360 for a regular four-person team. Registration for college students is $60 per player. The Entry fee includes lunch for each golfer (and a plus one), a player pack, which includes a sleeve of golf balls, a flash light and a water bottle, snacks and drinks on the course, on-course contests (longest drive, closest to pin, longest putt, and others) and chances to win cash – $10,000 if you make a hole-in-one on hole #3, or $2,500 if you win the putt-putt game – and other prizes.
Numerous opportunities will be available for purchase to 'boost' a player's/team's score. Members of church congregations are also encouraged to compete for the Church Team Traveling Trophy.
The event will begin with registration and lunch at 10:30 a.m., and a shotgun start at noon. Players should register by May 29 at yfcwi.org/golf or by calling (309) 833-3026.
