The Macomb High track and field teams headed to Monmouth Thursday to take part in the United Invitational.
The girls division saw MHS finish second out of seven teams with 73 points.
ROWVA/Williamsfield won the team title with 113.5 points. Macomb was second, followed by United (44.5), Monmouth-Roseville (38), Biggsville West Central (26), Princeville (25) and Abingdon- Avon (7).
On the boys side, MHS finished eighth out of eight teams with 17 points.
Princeville edged ROWVA/Williamsfield
76-75 for top team honors. Monmouth-Roseville was third with 58 points, followed by Ridgewood (41), Abingdon-Avon (37), United
(33), Biggsville West Central
(26) and MHS.
MHS girls set two new meet records.
Senior Dakota Thorman won the discus event, breaking her own record with a toss of 36.77-meters
(120-feet, 7-inches). In addition, freshman Khloe Diggs won the high jump with a personal best, also setting a new meet record with a leap of 1.62m (5-3.75).
