Nancy Carol (Johnson) Pieper, 88, of Bushnell, Illinois, passed away at 9:56 a.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Wesley Village in Macomb.
She was born November 24, 1937, in Abingdon, Illinois, to Freddie Daniel and Mabel Irene (Derry) Johnson. She married Walter J. Pieper on January 28, 1956; he preceded her in death on August 30, 1998.
She is survived by her four children: Diana (Rod) Branson of Fond du Lac, WI, Sonja Settles of Bushnell, IL, Jackie (Denise) Pieper of Canton, IL, and Tommy (Rose) Pieper of Fort Worth, TX; 11 grandchildren: Jared, Dace, and Heather Branson, Lacey Cunningham, Logan Frederick, Lauren Settles, Brittany Siedal, Misty Ford, Alex, Corey, and Kyle Strube; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Kristy (Andy) Austin; and one brother, Dan Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. Nancy attended Abingdon High School and graduated with the Class of 1955. She worked as a pharmacy technician at Glash Drugs and McDonough District Hospital for 30 years. She was a life member of the Bushnell VFW Ladies Auxiliary, where she proudly served as president for 10 years.
Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family, having coffee with friends, playing Mexican dominoes and working at the VFW. She also attended Bushnell Assembly of God Church.
