The Macomb High boys tennis team headed to Galesburg Saturday to take part in an eight-team invitational competition.
Peoria Christian and Dunlap both finished with nine wins, followed by Macomb, Sterling H.S. and East Peoria with seven wins apiece.
Pekin had four wins, followed by Geneseo with three and Galesburg H.S. with two.
Singles results for MHS were as follows: No. 1 - Ethan Laclef, Dunlap defeated Owen Kennedy, Macomb, 6-1, 6-0.
No. 1 - Kennedy defeated Vance Hansen, Geneseo, 8-1.
No. 1 - Kennedy defeated Jose Vazquez, Sterling H.S., 8-6.
No. 2 - Cooper Smith, Macomb defeated Antonio Santiago, Sterling H.S., 6-3, 6-3.
No. 2 - Elliot Marchand, Peoria Christian def. Smith, 6-0, 4-6, 11-9.
No. 2 - Mason Crosswhite, East Peoria defeated Smith, 8-6.
Doubles results for MHS were as follows: No. 1 - Ian Durst and Samuel Loeb, Peoria Christian defeated Marc Simmons and Alex Simmons, Macomb, 6-3, 6-4.
No. 1 - Marc Simmons and Alex Simmons defeated Quinnland Einfeldt and Sam Curcuru, Geneseo, 8-0.
No. 1 - Marc Simmons and Alex Simmons defeated Tyler Ramsay and Aidan Copeland, East Peoria, 8-1.
No. 2 - Max Daytner and Carter Ingledue, Macomb defeated Siddharth Sahoo and Shrinik Macha, Dunlap, 6-4, 4-6, 10-8.
No. 2 - Daytner and Ingledue, defeated Mahmoud Shehata and Jackson Warren, Galesburg H.S., 6-4 , 4-6, 10-8.
No. 2 - Parker Dail and Sam Chino, Sterling H.S. defeated Daytner and Ingledue, 7-6 (6), 6-4.
Macomb’s scheduled meet Monday at Limestone was cancelled due to weather.
