The Western Illinois Museum invites the community to enjoy a lively performance of Little Red Riding Hood, a charming children’s opera by Seymour Barab, presented by the WIU Opera Workshop. This engaging and humorous production will take place on Saturday, May 2nd, from 10-11 a.m. There is a suggested $5 donation at the door.
Perfect for children, families, and the young at heart, this 45-minute opera brings a fresh and playful twist to the classic fairy tale. Audiences will delight in memorable characters, including a dancing Grandma, a wolf with a tummy ache, and a brave young girl embarking on her first big adventure.
Designed to introduce young audiences to the joy of opera, this performance on Our Front Porch at the Museum is both accessible and entertaining for all ages.
