Norma I. Bland, 92, of Macomb passed away at 9:56 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Wesley Village surrounded by her daughters.
She was born on July 1, 1933 the daughter of Percy & Myrle (Oakman) Robinson. She married Robert “Bob” Bland on April 16, 1952 in Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her on January 13, 2020.
Surviving are her three daughters, Linda (Scott) Mahan of Girard, Illinois, Debbie Bland(Gwen Davis) of Havana, Illinois and Mary (Aaron) Downey of Avon, Illinois; grandchildren, Jaime (Shannon) Ganschow, Shanna (Thomas) Phillips, Jessica (Jim) Wetzel, Chance (Sydney) Downey; great-grandchildren, Addison, Lena and Elsah Ganschow, Isaac, Alyssa, Maya and Lola Phillips, River and Lakelyn Wetzel, Ryder and Renleigh Downey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 brothers; Ray Robinson, William Robinson, Robert Robinson, Lloyd Robinson and Ralph Robinson. sisters; Margaret Kaiser, Louise Hall, Virginia Dunn and Anna Jean Robinson.
Norma graduated from Macomb High School in 1951. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She worked as the head cashier at Eagle Country Market for over 25 years.
She was of member of the Assembly of God Church and the Lamoine Trails Saddle Club. She enjoyed camping, dancing, horseback riding, playing cards and going to auctions. Norma never met a stranger and always took time to visit.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2026 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Pastor A. Lee Unger officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Macomb.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that the memorials be made to Wesley Village, Macomb Assembly of God Church or MDH Hospice.
