Darah McFadden, daughter of Sandra McFadden and Jessica Mason, has been named the MidAmerica National Bank Senior of the Month for April 2026. Darah is very involved in school, she is a member of the MHS choir as well as the Bomberbellsas and Madrigals. She is also in MYLO, the Spanish club, the girls tennis team, and the speech team. Darah is the president of both the Ecology Club and the Thespian Troupe, the Secretary of the National Honors Society, and the Rotary Correspondent of the Interact Club.
Darah has earned many honors throughout, including being chosen as an Illinois State Scholar. She was also invited to sing in the Illinois All State choir and the Honors All State Choir throughout her time in school.
Community involvement is also very important to Darah.
She volunteers with Giving Gardens and attends morning rotary meetings most Tuesdays. Darah has been a part time babysitter the past 2 summers and worked as a tennis camp assistant last year. During her free time, Dara enjoys reading, taking walks, baking, and playing card games with her friends.
Following graduation, Darah is committed to attend Smith College, where she plans on majoring in government on the pre-law track. As sthe April Senior of the Month, Darah was presented a cash award of $100.00 and is eligible for the Senior of the Year Award in May 2026.
