Geri Lynn Fitch, 46, of Macomb, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly at her home on April 15, 2026. Her sudden passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She was born on November 23, 1979, in Macomb, Illinois, the daughter of Char (Lambert) of Macomb. Geri married Jonathan Michael Fitch on March 24, 2012, in Macomb, Illinois, and he survives.
Geri is survived by her husband, Jonathan Fitch of Macomb, Illinois; her daughters, Charli Fitch of Macomb, Illinois and Khali Scott of Jacksonville, Illinois; one granddaughter, Zicora Scott; her mother, Char of Macomb, Illinois; her sister, Keri (Aaron) Virag of Smithfield, Illinois; her brother, Dustin (Laura) Bigsby of Bardolph, Illinois; her mother-in-law, Tina (Depoy) Slick of Pekin, Illinois; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Charles and Iola Lambert; and her father-in-law, Donald Fitch.
Geri dedicated her work to providing in-home support for individuals with disabilities and was currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work at Western Illinois University. She had a compassionate spirit and found purpose in helping others, always putting the needs of those around her before her own.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home in Macomb, Illinois. Interment will follow at Blackburn Cemetery.
