The Macomb High girls soccer teams returned to the win column on Apr.16 as the Bombers defeated visiting Beardstown 3-0.
The victory snapped a four-match losing streak for the Bombers, who improved to 2-5-2 on the season.
Beardstown dropped to 4-4-1. The two teams had played in Beardstown on Apr. 6 with the Tiger winning 1-0.
Freshman Taylor Mann scored twice for the Bombers in the rematch, while sophomore Elanah McFadden also tallied a goal for the hosts.
Sophomore Reva Koeppen had an assist.
Mann finished the match with nine shots, while senior Mariella Rodriguez, junior Sophie Hansen, sophomore Kate Rector, McFadden and Koeppen all attempted one shot apiece.
In goal, junior Natasha Lin recorded the shutout, finishing the match with six saves.
The Bombers were scheduled to return to the home pitch Monday afternoon, facing the Orion/Sherrard/ Cambridge co-op (12-2-0).
