The Bushnell-Prairie City High School baseball squad lost to Staunton 16-0 in four innings Friday afternoon at Beardstown.
The contest was part of the ninth annual Tiger Showcase hosted by BHS.
Staunton scored two runs, in the first and four more in the second to build a 6-0 lead. The Bulldogs then added seven runs in the third and three more in the fourth on the way recording the victory.
Staunton (10-7) out-hit B-PC 13-2 with the Spartans also committing two errors.
Thomas Anderson and Ryan Adler each had one hit for B-PC.
Miles Strode pitched two-plus innings, allowing nine runs, seven earned, on six hits. He walked three and hit two batters.
Braxton Kempf pitched 1.2 innings, allowing five earned runs on five hits.
He walked three and hit a batter.
Bryce Coalson had four hits, including a pair of doubles, and four runs batted in for Staunton.
Lucas Coalson doubled and tripled, knocking in three runs while also scoring three times for the Bulldogs.
Aiden Saracco and Matthew Overby homered for Staunton, knocking in two runs each. Carter Legendre added two hits with two RBIs and three runs scored for the victors.
On the mound, Saracco pitched four innings, striking out seven, allowing two hits and walking two.
The remaining contests for the Spartans in the Tiger Showcase were cancelled due to stormy weather.
B-PC (0-14) was slated to play at Peoria Christian (5-10) on Monday and at Canton (3-9-1) on Tuesday.
