The Macomb Middle School seventh grade boys track team finished second in the Illinois Elementary School Association Class
3A State Finals held Friday and Saturday at the Eastside Centre in East Peoria.
The Bombers finished with 32 points. Eureka took the team title, finishing with 55 points.
The eighth grade boys finished in a fiveway tie for 17th place with 10 points.
The seventh grade girls finished in a three-way tie for 29th with six points.
Individually, seventh grader Faraz Khan won the state title in the high jump with an effort of 1.71-meters (5-feet, 7.25-inches).
In addition, Bradley Wagoner placed second in the discus with a toss of 40.07m
(131-5).
