Clean out those basements, attics, garages, sheds and closets for Macomb's first-ever All-Town Garage Sale May 1-2.
Sponsored by The Community News & Market, the all-town sale gives Macomb residents a chance to host a yard/garage sale during the weekend-long activity.
'This is a great opportunity to bring more visitors to our community for a large, community- sponsored event,' said Community News & Market Owner/Publisher Lynne Campbell. 'Macomb is one of the few communities in the west-central Illinois region that does not host an annual community wide sale. We thought this would be an ideal weekend for our residents to set up to sell the belongings they no longer want, and to bring more people to Macomb to shop, dine and explore.'
To participate, call or stop by the Community News & Market, 13 E. Side Square, (309) 421-0761 by 3 p.m., Wednesday, April 22 to be included in the All-Town list. For $20, your garage/ yard sale ad will run Friday, April 24, Tuesday, April 28, Wednesday, April 29 and Friday, May 1. The ad will include address, date(s) and time(s).
