Dear Editor, I’m pushing 80 now, and have mobility issues. Some days, just getting to the mailbox a quarter mile down the road is a challenge.
But here in Macomb, people still care. My mailman goes beyond his duty, bringing packages to my door. It’s a small gesture, but it speaks volumes about the heart of this community.
Macomb is wonderful because of people like that—people who quietly make life easier. That’s the Midwestern caring that’s alive and well here in Macomb and I’m truly grateful.
Sincerely, Stephany Newman
