Two shows will be featured at The Legacy Theater in Carthage during April.
Country music singer/ songwriter Keith Anderson was scheduled to perform in January. However, serious winter weather prevented him from getting to Carthage. His show was rescheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 11. Tickets to the January show will be honored.
The next week Dennis Warner and the D’s take the stage at 7 p.m. on Friday night, April 17.
Keith Anderson is on his “Pickin’ Wildflowers” 20th anniversary tour.
Anderson’s long career includes other Grammy and ACM nominations, chart-topping singles like “Every Time I Hear Your Name,” and songwriting credits for some of Nashville’s biggest hits.
He brings a mix of raw vocals, rock-driven twang, and genuine country soul. A certified gold recording artist, Anderson was named one of People Magazine’s 50 Hottest Bachelors and Men’s Fitness Magazine’s Ultimate Country Star.
Anderson has co-written multiple country hits, including “Beer Run (B Double E Double R-U-N)”, a duet by Garth Brooks and George Jones, and Big & Rich’s single, “Lost in This Moment.”
Dennis Warner’s show is a mix of storytelling and music. In the afternoon on April 17, he will perform a free show for area students, as part of the theater’s Inspiring Imaginations series.
This program works with area schools to bring students to the theater at no charge. Warner's “Beads on One String” book, now in its ninth printing, celebrates everyone’s “connectedness” and features a bully prevention curriculum for elementary schools.
The evening performance by Dennis Warner and the D’s invites the public to enjoy his musical talent and message. Warner's concerts blend folk music and serious, thought-provoking songs with lighter, up-tempo material.
Warner is noted for being an entertainer, bringing the audience into the performance with laughter and even a couple of sing-alongs.
He is backed up by “the D’s,” Dan Neale on guitar, mandolin and vocals, and Daryl Boudreaux, on cajon, congas and other miscellaneous “toys.” The show is generously sponsored by Ramsey Financial.
Tickets for these shows are available at the Legacy Theater Box office from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday at 1160 Buchanan (Rt. 136). The box office is open one hour prior to shows. Prices vary for performances.
