-Life Skills Program Blandinsville First Christian Church Life Skills Program for 5th grade through High School students from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon on the third Saturday of each month.
-Story Hour and Crafts Saturdays at The Blandinsville-Hire Library at 10 AM. Snacks will be available. Check out the many new kids and young adult books. Spend some time at the library and take a book home to read!

-Nature Hike at Argyle; Celebrate the first day of spring by taking a hike in the Argyle Hollow Barrens nature preserve located at Argyle at 10am. Hikers will witness nature’s rebirth firsthand by enjoying the early blooms and signs of emerging wildlife. We will drive from the park visitor center to the nature preserve. -One Book One Community Festival Event Fire: Light and Warmth, Danger and Destruction: Bill Maakestad Final Friday Concert in the relaxed atmosphere of the Wine Sellers. Bill will entertain with a repertoire of songs reflecting the 2026 OBOC festival theme of Fire, but with a metaphorical focus on fire as passion. From 5:30-7:30pm.

-Winter Farmers Market; Macomb's final indoor Winter Farmers Market will be held this Saturday, March 28th from 8:30 to Noon in the American Legion Hall (on E. Washington between S. Randolph & S. Campbell, behind the Post Office). Come check out our fresh local produce; homemade baked goods; local honey & jam; ready-to-eat meals & snacks; locally made personal care products; hand-crafted goods created by local artisans & artists; on-site knife-sharpening; and more! Macomb's weekly outdoor Farmers Market will resume on Saturday, May 2nd in Chandler Park, from 8 a.m. to Noon.
-Power of the Purse; The McDonough County United Way Power of the Purse will be held at Park Place in Macomb at 6pm.

-Illinois Grace Bible Conference March 29-30, Victory Baptist Church of Macomb will host the 2026 Illinois Grace Bible Conference. Bible teacher Kevin Sadler, president of the Berean Bible Society of Germantown, WI, & Pastor Jim Zaebst, of Grace Family Bible Church in Duncansville, PA will be bringing 10 sessions of Bible teaching over two days. -Prairie Land Conservancy annual meeting at 4:30 pm at the Macomb Country Club. Admission is free, people are welcome to purchase $35 tickets for the dinner held after the annual meeting. Partnering wildlife biologist from US Fish & Wildlife Service Stephanie Bishir will be the featured guest speaker.

-County Youth Task Force event Spring into summer at the McDonough County Youth Task Force event at the Macomb Middle School from 5-6:30pm. All McDonough County families are invited to this free event! You can sign up for local youth spring and summer programs (ask about scholarship assistance options), play games & activities and enjoy popcorn and snacks!

-ECC & MHS Earth Day Event at the Macomb High School from 9am-1pm. At 10:30am and 12:30pm there will be a free program by Wildlife Prairie Park “Backyard Habitat” with live animals and tips to create your own habitat. Hosted by the Macomb High School Student Ecology Club and sponsored by Environmentally Concerned Citizens.
