The Bushnell-Prairie City High School baseball team rallied from a 4-0 deficit, but eventually dropped a 10-5 non-conference contest to visiting Ridgewood Tuesday afternoon.
Ridgewood scored three runs in the opening inning before adding a single tally in the top of the fifth.
But B-PC scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth despite recording just one hit.
B-PC took advantage of five walks, a Connor Palm run-scoring single, an error, a sacrifice fly by Dylan King and a wild pitch in taking the lead.
Ridgewood answered in its next at-bat, taking advantage of a pair of errors to score the tying run.
The visitors took the lead back for good in the top of the seventh, scoring five runs, taking advantage of four hits and two walks.
Ridgewood out-hit B-PC 9-1. Palm, King and Ethan Hyde each batted in one run for B-PC.
The hosts used four pitchers. Alex Kohler pitched four innings, allowing four earned runs on four hits. He struck out three and walked four.
King faced two batters, walking both before Palm entered. He pitched 2.2 innings, allowing six runs, four earned, on five hits. Palm struck out two and walked three.
Hyde recorded the final out in the seventh.
Brenden Bolduc doubled and knocked in two runs, also scoring twice for Ridgewood (2-1).
Mavick Sunken also had two runs batted in, while Matt Maher added three hits for the visitors.
Levi Hixson picked up the win in relief, allowing two runs on one hit in 1.2 innings.
Gavin Franks started, allowing three runs in 4.1 innings. He struck out two and walked four.
Dylan Nimrick pitched a scoreless seventh to close out the contest.
B-PC (0-2) was slated to return to action Thursday, heading to Aledo to face Mercer County (0-3). The Spartans will then host Delavan (0-2) on Friday before playing Illini Bluffs (1-0) and Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/ Virginia (0-4) Saturday in the Route 41 Series.
