The Macomb High boys tennis team opened its 2026 season Wednesday afternoon, defeating Rock Island Alleman 9-0 in dual meet competition at the MHS tennis courts.
Singles results were as follows: No. 1 - Marc Simmons, Macomb defeated Cullen Heckencamp , Alleman, 6-3, 6-3.
No. 2 - Jaydn Glaue, Macomb defeated Landon Andrews, Alleman, 6-4, 6-0.
No. 3 - Owen Kennedy, Macomb defeated Chase Eygabroad, Alleman, 6-0, 6-1.
No. 4 - Cooper Smith, Macomb defeated Adam Bell, Alleman, 6-0, 6-1.
No. 5 - Kevin Wu, Macomb defeated Jack Milner, Alleman, 6-4, 6-1.
No. 6 - Max Daytner, Macomb defeated Cruz Neises, Alleman, 6-4, 6-2.
Doubles results were as follows: No. 1 - Simmons and Glaue, Macomb defeated Andrews and Eygabroad, Alleman, 6-3, 6-1.
No. 2 - Kennedy and Smith, Macomb defeated Bell and Neises, Alleman, 6-0, 6-1.
No. 3 - Wu and Daytner, Macomb defeat Heckencamp and Milner, Alleman, 7-5, 7-6.
The Bombers are scheduled to take part in the Sacred heart-Griffin Invitational Saturday before returning to the home courts Monday to face United Township in dual meet competition.
