Isabelle R. McCullough

Isabelle R. McCullough, age 93, of Macomb passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Bickford Cottage in Macomb. She was born September 9, 1932, to Albert and Myrthle Halcomb Schulte. Isabelle was united in marriage to George McCullough, December 22, 1951, in Colchester, he preceded her October 30, 2012.

Surviving to mourn Isabelle’s passing is 2 sons: William (Susan) McCullough, Montana, Robert (Lori) McCullough, Macomb, 1 daughter: Barbara Ebert, Bushnell, 9 grandchildren: Kylie McCullough, Madison Maphies, Ciara Mcbride, Joshua Ebert, Michael Ebert, Matthew McCullough, Gregory McCullough, Michelle McCullough, 10 great grandchildren: Danielle, Beckett, Conrad, Mackenzie, Jacob, Marcus, Jarod, Thomas, Jaelea Crowe, Dacey Crowe and one great great grandchild Wrenlea, 2 brothers: Jim Schulte, Arizona, Tom Schulte, Texas, 1 sister: Margaret Shifley, Macomb, and several nieces and nephews.

Isabelle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George McCullough, 1 sister: Alberta Griffin, and 1 son in law: Randy Ebert.

Isabelle had worked for Simpson-Powelson Lumber Company with her husband for several years, after this she went on to work at McDonough F.S for a couple years. Isabelle’s greatest passion was the missionary programs and especially the children’s programs at the church. She greatly enjoyed being at the children’s church. She loved to craft, she made her own candles and puppets. When she wasn’t crafting she would be gardening. Isabelle did a lot of canning as well, even though that wasn’t her favorite thing to do, but she loved to cook. She was very interested in her family’s history and learning everything about everyone. Her family and the church was the center of her world.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Jones Mortuary in Colchester with Pastor Earl Beal. Burial will follow the services at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester. Visitation with the family will be Friday, March 27, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Jones Mortuary. Friends may view and sign the register book at the funeral home from 8:30 A.M. through time of visitation. Memorial is to Children’s Missions Around The World.
