We Are Community...

Probably the most common greeting we use when we see someone we know is “Hi, how are you?” This week I have to stop and look at the person to see if there is an indication that they have heard about my three-day mini vacation. Thanks for all the prayers.

Sometimes I can even feel the warmth flow over me. Think I am doing well until some doctor either confirms that or tells me differently. Again, thank you.

A reminder that there will be a chicken and noodle fundraiser dinner at the PCCC on Saturday, March 28 beginning at 4:30 pm. Please come out and support the community center.

John Curtis wrote an excellent article about his grandparents for the Community News Brief. We have heard that all of us are connected at some point in our lives. Lois Curtis, John’s grandmother, was one of my 4H leaders along with Ruth Hammond. They led the Club the Go Getter Gals in the Argyle neighborhood. The Boy’s Club was the Argyle Lucky Clovers. 4H helped bring me from a very very shy child to someone that is confident and can speak before people. Thanks to all those dedicated leaders out there both past and present.

There were some absolutely wonderful weather days this week. Hope you were able to enjoy them. Saturday was fabulous and the store was packed with shoppers. Thanks so much to all who came out. It was really appreciated. The Paris, Missouri antique show is this week and I will miss it for the first time in many years. Wonderful people, good sales and the first show of the season. Just figured that tossing around really heavy banana boxes was not a really good idea at this time.
