To the Editor:
The McDonough County Republican Central Committee wants to commend County Clerk, Jeremy Benson, for his quick and appropriate response to an unfortunate event at one of the polling locations on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.
We do not approve of the language used by the election judge and are glad that said person will be barred from serving in any capacity in future elections.
