WIU Community Music School Announces Summer Music Camps

The Western Illinois University Community Music School (CMS) is now accepting registrations for its 2026 Summer Music Camps, which will be held Monday, June 8-Friday, June 26 on the Macomb campus.

Designed for students ages 6–18, the half-day and full-day camps provide a supportive and engaging environment where young musicians can explore music, build skills and collaborate with others. Several camps welcome students with no prior musical experience, making the experience an ideal introduction to music. while also offering opportunities for experienced students to continue developing their abilities.

The WIU Community Music School's mission is 'Connecting Our Community Through Music Learning,' and its summer camps bring students from across the region together to learn, collaborate, and grow through music.

'My son absolutely loves the instructors, music and knowledge he gains during the camp,' a parent shared after last year's event. 'He learns so much in those five short days and can't wait to come back next year.'
