Scott Allen Kepple, 61, of Macomb, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. He was born May 5, 1964, in Macomb, Illinois, to Thurman Ray and Beverly Ann (Redman) Kepple.
He is survived by his parents, Thurman and Beverly Kepple of Macomb, Illinois; four sons, Steven Fowler of Bardolph, Illinois, Travis Kepple of Bardolph, Illinois, Gavin Goodpasture of Macomb, Illinois, and Myles Kepple of Macomb, Illinois; five grandchildren, Aleah, Macey, Lane, Tucker, and Leland Kepple; three siblings, Teresa Kepple of Macomb, Illinois, Bryan (Pedro) Kepple of Sunnyside, New York, and Tracey Fernandez of Bardolph, Illinois; sister-inlaw Tricia Kepple of Baraboo, WI; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his very best friend, Walt Dorethy.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gerald and Madolyn Redman; paternal grandparents, Bernard and Margaret Kepple; and two brothers, Christopher and Timothy Kepple.
He attended Bardolph Grade School and Macomb High School.
He grew up milking cows and raising and breaking colts. He drove a semi for many years all across the country. He met many good people and had lots of stories to tell about life on the road. He also worked for McGrew Feedlot Eq., Ron Curtis Construction, Chat LTD, Ankin Enterprise, and Jeff Danielson Construction.
He loved growing a vegetable garden and roses, many times delivering beautiful bouquets of roses to friends and family.
He enjoyed doing mechanical work, and everybody said he could fix anything.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the Macomb Assembly of God Church with Pastor Jon Keck and Pastor Pete Miller officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Bardolph Cemetery.
