Home gardeners, plant enthusiasts, and nature lovers are invited to attend the 28th Annual Gardener’s Day, hosted by the University of Illinois Extension and the McDonough County Master Gardeners.
This year’s event will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Spoon River College Outreach Center, 2500 E. Jackson St., in Macomb. Check‑in begins at 8 a.m., with the first sessions starting at 9 a.m.
This annual program offers a full day of hands-on learning, expert-led workshops, and practical gardening education designed for both new and experienced gardeners.
Registration includes four educational sessions, lunch, refreshments, and access to local vendors.
Participants may choose from a diverse lineup of topics, including designing windbreaks and privacy screens, growing cut flowers, new plants for the 2026 season, urban forest diversity, creative container gardening, habitat-friendly landscaping, and much more!
The registration cost is $40 before March 8 and then $50 after. Registration deadline is March 21.
