We Are Community...

We no longer need dictionaries or encyclopedias. Google knows all and is a lot easier and quicker than using a book. Ran across “hubris” in my devotional reading. Was not sure what that meant so asked Google. Was interested in the definition. Your thoughts are welcome to start here!

Have spent a lot of time with my lawyer and at the recorders office in the Carthage court house lately. I’m beginning to figure out what I am doing so will soon have everything done and no longer need to know what I am doing! Still have a few things to put into the trust but they should not be any problem and can do that locally. Just hope that when I get trust done and will rewritten that God does not decide that it is time to test them out.

Sunday, we had sun for the first time in several days. One can see the flowers in my yard growing each day. Crocus and Lenten roses blooming, daffodils several inches tall and budded. We were very fortunate on Friday night as there were storms predicted but don’t think we had any bad ones though there was a lot of thunder, some wind and some rain which we needed badly.

Attended the Village Board meeting on Wednesday evening. Bids were let to tear down a house near the railroad tracks as you enter town. A good start as we have several houses that should be torn down as does every village or town. Local person won the bid and I hope there will be more clean up done in Plymouth.

On the way back form the Lowderman auction on Thursday, I came through Colchester. The east end of town was covered in fire trucks and ambulances. They were near a rail crossing and I feared that there had been an awful collision but heard on the news that there was a house fire and that no one was hurt. Thank goodness.

Friday was a great day at the store again. Thanks to all who came and shopped. Saturday had a couple of customers and another gentleman come in. I have learned that part of my “job” is sometimes just to listen. Hopefully we can help by just stopping and listening to someone who needs to be heard. Not sure advice is always wanted but sometimes we just need to express our feelings. For myself hugging or holding hands is also very much appreciated.

Very upsetting to hear the “news” these days. Again “in my opinion” it is not up to America to rule the world. Our religion is not that of all other countries and we need to recognize that. War is NEVER the answer. There will be consequences. So many innocent children have already been sacrificed and for what. Pray for peace and for better leadership.

Enjoy the warmer weather. With daylight time in place there will be more opportunity to do work outside and perhaps more opportunity for sunset photos. Be extra kind to those around you in these stressful times. Do scatter Kindness and Love.
