ROBIN’S
Hello Friends – How did March come in? Lion or Lamb? I think it snuck in like a Lamb, we had been anticipating getting out of February (the shortest month? Yea, right!!), and it snuck right past me – quiet as can be (I think!). So according to the “Old Wives”, ending out this month will be quite the show. Prepare yourselves folks, this could be one for the record books!

While scrolling through Facebook, I stumble onto many things. One thing that is so unapologetic and disrespectful is when someone (not family) posts about someone who has passed away so soon after they have passed. Please remember to not just be the “first one” to spread the details, that is not your place at all. Let the family make the announcement – they have the control over when their entire family has been notified of the death – not you. Don’t be the town crier to be the first to make the announcement, let the family make that announcement. It’s not your business to be first. Show some respect.
Don’t forget to vote in the primary election, March 17th. Your vote does count – make sure you get out and vote or do it by mail if that option is better for you.
The Burn Ban has been lifted for McDonough County. Please still be aware of burning and controlling what you can.
This quote really spoke to me lately. Our lives have been in turmoil with sickness since last November and I needed to see this to put some things in perspective. I don’t know what is around the corner for us but need to see these moments and appreciate them more than I have. If you needed to see this, I hope it helps: “Gratitude isn’t about having everything; it’s about noticing the beauty in what you do have. The people who love you. The roof over your head. The small moments of joy that sneak into your day. Let your heart fill with appreciation. The more you focus on what’s working, the more you allow room for new blessings to enter. Today, be rooted in thankfulness. Let that energy attract more light into your life. You’re already blessed. And even more is on its way.” Awakeannedsoul You just need enough bravery for the next step, not the whole staircase.
Stay safe - Robin
