Reviewer’s Name: Phoebe Bormet Reviewer’s Occupation: Retired Book Title: Rising Tiger Book’s Author: Brad Thor Rising Tiger by Brad Thor is an espionage thriller and part of the Scot Harvarth Series. It explores the rising, explosive conflict between India and China. When India’s “snow warriors” fight off a Chinese invasion, a helicopter of Indian officials mysteriously crashes, a U.S. undercover agent sent to India is assassinated, and another U.S. personnel is attacked by “acoustic weaponry” Scot Harvarth is sent to investigate. To keep up with the action, I printed off a map of India. Like many espionage thrillers, Brad Thor develops current events and information about other places and people into a facepaced story. I enjoyed the main character Scot Harvarth’s three rules for happiness: We all need something to do, someone to love, and something to look forward to.
