Children, fellow teachers, and friends surprised Paul Icenogle Thursday, February 12, with a basket of well wishes, a photo booklet, and coupons in honor of her 25 years of service with Wesley Christian Child Development Center.
In addition, representing Wesley United Methodist Church, office manager Tim Rice presented Paula with an engraved brick (actually two bricks, one of which will be placed on day care grounds).
Over the years, Paula has seen many changes in the daycare facility, especially room remodeling in the lower level of the church at 1212 West Calhoun. She began working at the day care when Jenny Bosworth was the director, providing care in the baby room, with toddlers, and in potty training.
As the individual who has served the longest in the day care facility, she still looks forward to helping young children grow in positive ways.
