Infant, of Colchester
Hazel Dawn Rieckenberg passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026 at St. Louis Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
She was born on Saturday, February 14, 2026 to Cole and Hannah Bengtson Rieckenberg.
She is survived by her parents of Colchester; brother, Bennett Rieckenberg of Colchester; maternal grandparents Tim and Kimberly Bengtson of Macomb; paternal grandparents, Debbie Carman of Colchester and Randy Rieckenberg of Campbell Hill, Illinois; uncles, Blake (Faith) Bengtson of Lebanon, Missouri, Cory Rieckenberg of Campbell Hill, Illinois, Cody (Shannon) Rieckenberg of Ava, Illinois and Caleb (Alexa) Rieckenberg of Benton, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by an aunt, Courtney Rieckenberg.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026 at the Crossing Church in Macomb with Pastor Kaleb Greenlief officiating. There will be no visitation.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
