90, of Macomb

Dolorus Mae Miller, 90, of Macomb, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at The Elms Nursing Home in Macomb surrounded by her family.

She was born on January 20, 1936, in Macomb, Illinois, to Jacob A. and Pearl (Cheeseman) Stoneking. On January 23, 1954, she married James W. Miller in Macomb. He preceded her in death on November 26, 2021.

Dolorus is survived by her children, Michael Aaron Miller of Macomb and Rickey Lee (Vickie) Miller of Macomb; two grandchildren, Jordan (Jodi) Miller of Herrin, IL, Cassandra Chitty of Johnson City, IL; and several great-grandchildren.

Dolorus dedicated many years to her work. She was employed at King Seeley for over 15 years and was proudly the last employee to leave when the company closed its doors. She later worked at Western Illinois University for 10 years and at Haeger Lamp Company for six years.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at The Elms Nursing Home for their compassionate care and kindness.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Oakwood Cemetery. Karla Christensen will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beacon of Hope Hospice or to The Elms.
