MHS JV Girls Drop Final Two Contests To End Season

The Macomb High JV girls basketball team completed its season with a 14-5 record after dropping its final two games.

On Feb. 9, the Bombers lost at Lincoln 55-18. MHS finished the contest with 34 turnovers in the loss. Brooklyn Lyles topped MHS with seven points, five rebounds and two steals.

Kinley Sloan added six points, nine rebounds and three steals for the Bombers.

Ella McKee and CeCe Jones added two points each, while Taylor Mann chipped in a free throw.

Grace O’Hern had three steals, while Mann and McKee recorded four and three rebounds respectively.

On Feb. 12, the Bombers wrapped up their season with a contest at Camp Point Central.

Macomb led the first half before the Panthers rallied for a 47-46 victory.

MHS led 15-13 after the opening period and 32-28 at halftime. But Central knotted the score at 38-38 entering the final quarter of play.

O’Hern topped Macomb with 17 points, including four 3-pointers. She also added two steals and two rebounds.

Mann added eight points, seven rebounds, three steals and two assists, while Lyles also scored eight points, while also adding four steals and four rebounds.

Sloan finished with five points, along with a team-leading 11 rebounds and two steals, while McKee also scored five points.

Olyvia Clark rounded out the MHS scoring with three points.

The Bombers finished 14-of-30 from the free throw line.
