Brenda K. Jones, 80, a resident of Macomb, IL, passed away at 7:50 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Wesley Village Healthcare Center in Macomb following an extended illness.
Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Adeline M. Jones (D’Camp), her brothers John and Charles Jones, and her sister Marjorie Erickson (Jones). She is also preceded by one nephew Randy Erickson and one great-niece Lindsay Erickson.
She is survived by her sister, Artha Jane Kearby (Jones) and three nephews Stan Erickson, Ryan Erickson, and Rudy Erickson and two nieces Jill Erickson Haupt and Kim Jones Brocker.
Brenda was born in Industry, Il and attended school in Industry and Macomb. She was a 1963 graduate of Macomb High School and also attended Western Illinois University. Brenda was employed as a department secretary at WIU and then as an Office Manager at the Community Mental Health Center, where she retired after thirty years of service. Brenda was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bears and Bulls, and especially enjoyed Macomb Heritage Days and Balloon Rally. Brenda had a special love for her two sweet dogs, Casey and Quincy, who were wonderful companions. She will be dearly missed by family and special friends Sheila, Matthew and Melissa Cox and Brandi Teel.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services. Private burial of ashes will be held in the Industry Cemetery at a later date.
Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb is in charge of arrangements.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers that remembrances are suggested as donations to the HSMC New Animal Shelter.
