TUESDAY MAY 27TH Friends Feeding Friends “Grub Off The Grill”
at the Christian Community Center (355 W. Main St., Bushnell). Come from 4:30 to 6:30 PM and choose from BBQ chicken or ribs (or both), with sides of baked beans, Cole slaw and applesauce. And cookies for dessert! As always, the meal is free, though donations will be accepted, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Bushnell Public Library for new children’s books. Come and join in the food and fellowship for the last meal until August!
BEGINNING JUNE 3 Summer Reading
for 2-4year olds will meet at 10:30-11:30 on Tuesdays beginning June 3-July 22.Elementary students will be held on Wednesdays at 10:30-11:30 beginning June 4-July23.
Theme for the summer reading is Natures Super Heroes.
We will have reading contests with prizes for top readers.
Activities, reading, and crafts will be featuring nature's super Hero insects.

SATURDAY, JUNE 14 Timberview Lakes Campground Car Show If you have a cool or unique car, truck, or motorcycle, make sure to bring them out! Cars can start arriving between 9 and 10am and judging will be done at 3pm.

Out with the Old in with the New Fundraiser for Brad Hunter at The Lipsticked Pig in Rushville. It won’t be lung until Brad get his transplant! Saturday there will be live music all day, charity poker tournament, raffles, silent auction and fish dinner $10. Sunday there will be a Pool & Bags tournaments at 12:30pm and a Pork chop sandwich and chips for $10 will be served.
Memorial Day Services
Macomb American Legion The American Legion will be honoring our nation’s heroes on Monday, May 26 at 10:30am at the American Legion, 221, E. Washington St., Macomb.
Avon Memorial Day Parade parade starts at 11:00a.m. and proceed to the cemetery for the Roll Call of the Dead. There will be transportation for those Veterans wishing to ride in the parade. There will also be hayracks at the cemetery to bring parade walkers back to the Fire House. Those parade marchers who return their flags will receive a certificate for ice cream at Just Not Another Dip. The Avon Fire Department is having their annual porkchop/ hotdog meal fundraiser. The Angels in Action will have desserts available as well as chances for their raffle items.
The Blandinsville-Good Hope-Sciota Veterans Memorial Committee will conduct a Memorial Day program Saturday, May 24, at 1 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial on Main Street, Blandinsville. They will honor the fallen and four local WWII heroes: Lt. Karl James, Sgt. Glenn Oliver, Pvt. Duane George and Pvt. Bill Soland. Bring your lawn chair and help honor our hometown heroes. In case of inclement weather the program will be held at the Blandinsville Methodist Church, 220 W. Adams Street. Chairlift and wheelchair ramp are available at the Methodist Church.
