Reviewer’s Name: Galen Weitkamp Reviewer’s Occupation: Retired Book Title: The Secret of Secrets Book’s Author: Dan Brown The Secret of Secrets is definitely a mystery, also a sort of a romance and a fusion of symbology with noetic science. This time Robert Langdon finds himself in Prague with noetic scientist and author Katherine Solomon. One night Katherine is startled awake. She immediately tells Langdon of her horrifying dream: a dream which Langdon experiences in real life the next morning. Of course there are murders; but also bomb threats, an ancient Golem and an underground array of frighteningly bizarre science experiments. The Czech Intelligence Service, the CIA, the US Marines and the American Ambassador all get involved. Dan Brown’s writing is always arresting. His chapters are brief and efficiently carry the thought and action from one segment to the next. Often, I find myself thinking, “These chapters are short, so I’ll just read one more and then do my work.” Of course, when I get to the end of that chapter that very same thought pops into my head.
